The trend is for people to have more jobs than ever before in their working life. The idea of a job for life is not going to continue. Many of us are moving into a period where we will have multiple jobs perhaps between 12 and 20 jobs in your working life. Outsourcing and the explosion of flexible-working arrangements together with an expanding contract market suggests that the ways people work and number of jobs will only increase.

These competitive pressures especially outsourcing and off-shoring to far away countries, means everyone needs a new strategy to keep employed.  This changes in the marketplace means that you need to be able to get a new job when you need to.  In other words develop your ‘employ-ability skills’.
