Making some more choices

Constraining factors in your career choice

All our choices are to some degree constrained by our perception of our preferences, in other words how we see the world.  Typically these would include location, environment, salary, travelling time and ‘the type of people’ who do that sort of work.

This is why we say that successful career management is an interactive process. It is not something best done alone, on-line or unaided

From our experiences over the years it is interesting to see how clients make assumptions about something which then ‘colours their vision’. Something that might suit a particular client perfectly is never considered.

We often work with clients who make assumptions about:

  • their education
  • their abilities
  • their skills and abilities
